The Organic Vanilla Bean Company™ was founded in 2002. The cornerstone of our business is to offer vanilla beans and related products grown under strict organic conditions that we control from the soil preparation and planting stage through to delivery to our distributors, retailers and customers. We are truly a vertical operation – ‘from the farm to you’ – thereby offering the very best value to our clients.
Our home office is located in the resort town of Breckenridge, high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Here we finalize quality control, packing and the ultimate shipping to our customers around the world. We also have branch offices in Canada and Japan that handle direct shipments within their respective countries.
 About our beans
These beautiful vanilla beans are the product of our organic vanilla co-op mountain plantations in Papua New Guinea (PNG). These small remote farms grow their beans in absolute pristine conditions and never, ever use herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers or artificial additives. Why would they? They are naturally sun-dried and cured to absolute perfection. The perfect climate and fertile soil are enough to produce the absolute finest vanilla beans in the World. Vanilla planifolia (Bourbon) can be traced back to the 16th century and its origin in Mexico. Another species, Vanilla tahitensis (Tahitian) was mutated from Vanilla planifolia beans in Tahiti and our stock was introduced to small family run organic farms in Papua New Guinea via the Philippines and Fiji in the 1960’s where they have been carefully nurtured and ultimately flourished in the more fertile soil to be recognized as the world’s finest for this species of bean. Our plantations are some of the few places in the world where both species of vanilla are grown.

We personally work with the local growers who carefully plant, pollinate, pick, cure, grade and pack these organically grown beans. We enforce strict quality control and maintain the original farm fresh-cured condition by vacuum packing our beans. PNG is a beautiful, un-polluted, pristine country and its vanilla has a distinct aroma and unique flavor that cannot be found in beans from other areas. The spectacular prices that we offer are the result of our unique partnership with the growers thereby eliminating the many middlemen that cause vanilla prices to inflate to unrealistic levels.
