Product Availability

Our business is always at the mercy of Mother Nature. While we strive to keep as much stock as possible in our inventory, certain grades or length sizes may sometimes be unavailable. If the item on the order page is shown as a $0, this means that the item is out of stock. If stock is unavailable please try to select a comparable product or visit our site at a later date.

Accepted Methods of Payment

In an effort to keep our prices as low as possible, we do not offer open credit terms for merchandise purchased on this site. Payment must be received in full for all merchandise prior to shipment using one of the following methods:
Credit Cards through PayPal™: On-line payment services are secure and encrypted for your protection using 128-bit encryption shared SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate provided by the Certificate Authority Thawte (a VeriSign company). This is the most popular method for ensuring the secure transmission of credit card data and consumer information. Your will see a locked security icon on your browser when making payments, so you will know it is encrypted.. Credit Cards: We also accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard & American Express.
Checks / Money Orders: We accept personal checks or money order from U.S. and Canadian buyers. We reserve the right to hold personal checks for up to 7 days to clear. Always write your order number on your check and reconfirm your shipping address.

Order Status

After your order has been successfully submitted online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. A second e-mail will notify you once your order has been shipped.

Insured Shipping

We strive to fulfill and ship orders within one business day of receipt of payment for your order. We regret that we cannot be responsible for delays incurred by shipping companies, customs or agricultural authorities and other outside bureaucracies.
We ship Worldwide via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS™). For shipments over 10 lb. (5Kg), we may use an alternative service such as UPS™, FedEx™ or DHL™.
The following are typical transit times*:
US Postal Service™: 2 to 4 days (USA)  :  2 – 5 days (Canada)  :  (4 –7 days – Worldwide)
UPS Ground™: USA & Canada - 2 to 7 days
FedEx™: 1 to 3 days
* Transit time does not include any time necessary for customs & agriculture clearance to destinations outside the USA. This will vary shipment by shipment.

Damaged Items

We carefully check, pack and fully insure all shipment leaving our warehouse. If you receive a shipment containing damaged or spoiled items, please contact us by email within 3 days of receipt. Your package is fully insured and we will replace the damaged item. However, to collect on the insurance plan, you must first file a claim with the carrier used to deliver the goods. Please note we are unable to honor any damage claims if notification is not received by us within 3 days of delivery. Items lost in transit must be reported to us by email within 14 days of shipment.

Broken Seals

Note that our beans are vacuum packed at our location, which is located 10,000 feet (3000 metres) above sea level. We always inspect packages prior to shipment to ensure an intact seal. When shipping to lower altitudes, packages sometimes break their seal. Consequently, if you receive a package with a broken seal, it would have occurred during shipping. A broken seal does not affect the quality or integrity of the beans and they will be safe to use. If you wish to replace items with a broken seal, email us for an RA#, which must appear on the returned package. Return the package to us within 3 days of receipt to our address, freight, insurance and tracking services prepaid.

Delays

Our product guarantee covers the quality and description of the product that we ship. We cannot be responsible for orders delayed by shipping companies, government authorities, adverse weather or force majeure.

Returns

We will honor all good faith concerns by replacing your order or refunding your payment in full. For the terms of our return guarantee, please refer to our Guarantee & Return Policy. Claims for returns must be made within 3 days of receipt of product. In such cases, email us stating the reason for the return. If your return request falls under our guarantee, we will issue a return authorization number (RA#), which must appear on the package being returned. We will refuse to accept any package that does not bear a valid RA#. Return the package to us within 3 days of receipt of the RA# by USPS™ to our address, freight, insurance and tracking services prepaid.

Limited Liability

The Organic Vanilla Bean Company LLC is not liable for delivery delays. Our liability is limited to the value of the order shipped. The Organic Vanilla Bean Company LLC accepts and ships orders subject to our terms and conditions, which stipulates that the buyer agrees that any dispute arising for any reason relating to a transaction conducted on this web site shall be adjudicated exclusively in Summit County, Colorado, USA.
